The Globurău mine is a large mine in the west of Romania in Maramureş County, 29 km north of Orşova and 392 km west of the capital, Bucharest. Globurău represents one of the largest manganese reserve in Romania having estimated reserves of 3 million tonnes of manganese.[1]
